Hillsborough County Commission preserves Keystone plan

The Board of County Commissioners has unanimously quashed the latest assault on rural Keystone and preserved the area's future growth plan, at least for one more year.

County commissioners to consider cutting their salaries

Commissioner Kevin Beckner last month brought up a possible 10 percent pay cut for each member of the elected board as a way to show empathy for county employees facing possible layoffs. Commissioners currently make about $100,000 annually.

Hillsborough County formally adopts tighter watering rules, but not as tight as Tampa's

Hillsborough County commissioners today approved the same tighter water restrictions that were passed Tuesday by the Southwest Florida Water Management District.
